My dropout multitool project

A few of you may remember me putting a thread up a while back asking for images of rear dropouts. Well together with some searching on the net a Berts efforts in my nut and allen key size thread i have finally got round to working on a little idea i have had bubbling away for a while.

I plan to amalgamate a few design cues from Kuwahara and Haro drops primarily and tweek the various holes and slots to fit the most common nuts and allens on a bmx to form a multitool keyring.

I am working on an illustartor file to be waterjet cut out of tool steel but this rough sketch will give you an idea.



A small driver bit will sit in a slot (not in this pic) with the most common allen head size that can then be turned using one if the holes in the main body. The body will also hopefully have a small section of cm measuring etched into one edge as well as a bottle opener and anything else i can squeeze out of it

What do you recon guys, would any of you lot be interested, price dependant etc?

bit disappointed it's not part of a full bike frame
so if your mate has a minor breakdown you just ride over to him and can use the whole thing as a multitool - you'd get far more leverage  :daumenhoch:

Great idea this mate. Could you make one of the slots for a hub cone  ???  It's the one thing I really need in my tool box. I would take two if you put it on it  :daumenhoch:
