Repops, copies and fakes

I try not to go with repo for an old school bike. I would rather use cheap parts from Lander or Formos.

However if I built a re-issue Skyway for example, I would only want to use repo parts. They would be from the same era.

Example mx 1000 s alloy is alloy
Same now as back in the 80s
Probably even  better bar a date .
Which cant be seen when  on a bike  ?
