Mx1000 anno colours?
factory pilot:
Hi lads, I've come a across a couple of nos mx1000 calipers.
One is dated 5.83 the other 7.83 they are both mint and seem genuine enough.
The blue anno on both though is ever so slightly different , one is slightly darker and the other other is a little lighter/ brighter but definitely a different blue.
Any ideas if this is normal or comman place? If so any reasons why?
I don't think it's through sunlight/fading though they are both too minty?;)
Is it the case for other colours too(red/gold) etc ?
Any help or ideas is much appreciated?
Cheers Ant :daumenhoch:

One of them may have been re anodised. DC blue ano is normally dark and glossy where as new ano is lighter and softer :daumenhoch:

I did wonder if this is the case but thought that maybe slightly different colours might have been used by dia compe ?

Not sure about the blue's as i haven't taken much notice but have seen differences in earlier reds and golds.
meticulous:
anodise can also fade in time, so could depend on where have been kept over the years, also different batches of anodise can vary if they use different dyes in the pot....
