Show us your Redline BB's
Gnarlyscoots:
fitted please.
I ordered 2 NOS BB's from Ian and he says that they will not work due to the fat locking nut.
I have come across this statement:-
"on old Redline frames, the BB shell is actually a little narrower than almost any other frame. They designed the 401 axle in accordance with their frame dimensions. Sometimes you can use the Tioga with the nut on a Redline, but on any other frame, you have to go without the locknut and adjust it the way you would with a Techmatic BB. You may have to use a spacer to cover any exposed threads".
Is this correct? How do you run yours?
Cheers :daumenhoch:

It was fine on my Gen 1 Master, but this is a Hadley BB
& I'm pretty sure it was fine on this Gen 2 84 Master of mine too
But this one on my gen 2 84 Sport I did have to leave the lock nut off, but this is a Techmatic
Think I just used a Profile crank spacer
