I do believe they have been more harmful than good for our hobby ... and I do use and have many of them ... 
the mythical parts are mythical because of their rarity ... as a purist these days less is more

Thing is many folk said repops would lower the price of the originals. I personally think they’ve had absolutely no detrimental effect, issibly the opposite

I disagree ... with Haro rare parts are now selling for far less ( dominator Seats, flex fighters, OG f and fs and bars are all worth a lot less)
I think GT has escaped a lot of this Nick ...
Don’t get me wrong I’ve got my fair share of repop but I’ll always prefer (where possible) OG stuff.
With the Haro’s for example some OG framesets were up to £650 before the reissues now look at Patric struggling to sell his rare OG chrome beauty for £550.
The repop have brought in lots of newbies to the scene (good) but they’d rather buy a mint repop for £400 than a scratched OG frameset for £500.(bad) ...
