fischflo:
FORGET IT ........................just saw the stupid cable mounts >:( ...was so close, even the serial number would've been pretty similar: K+97+letter+5 digit no ...hrumph
The Kuwahara Scamp ........has dropouts practically identical to a Schwinn Predator's ..flat brake bridge
The Kuwahara Pantera ........has dropouts practically identical to a Schwinn Predator's ..but different serial
oberonspacefruit:
also, the kuwi pantera has oval downtube.
scamp has different brake bridge.
the predator has identical dropouts, no gusset, but the ends of the main tubes have a slight flare.
at the moment im thinking its a cycle pro greg hill signature/ streetlegal.
the one i have has identical forks, same rear drops, same brakebridge, same brace between the chain stays.
aparently they were made in japan, by a maker with a "k", cant remember the name now, but they made some burners too....
fischflo:
cool - only knew the one with the older drops
..same serial config?
oberonspacefruit:
thanks for your help fisch.
that one you posted is one of 3 made. they seem to have 3 different rear drops, 2 types of forks, and the gusset reinforcement on one.
the models are street legal, signiture, replica, and competitior. the replica is very nearly a ghp type frame.
mine has the landing gear type forks shown above, and the drops with the pierced triangle.
No doubt it was a relatively low end frame, heres a pdf
http://oldschoolmags.com/tests/Cyclepro_GH_sig_model_Plus8411.pdf
he was sponsered by cycle pro, and put his name to what seems to be 2 generic type frames, and one ghp lookalike.
