Cruiser Gearing ?

Ok just decided I'm going for one of these curtis cruisers,

Never had a 24" before so what would be the usual gearing used ???

Loads of gearing calculators available.
Somone will give you the best ratio, but i believe the magic number is in the 55 region.

Currently im looking at 39-17. But this is just a starting point...i'm sure it'll be trial and error.
Could be 40-17. Thats just for cruising about on ....nowt competitive. :LolLolLolLol:

Just been advised that 44 / 18 is ok for a street cruiser ?... I'm guessing its all trial & error ???

When i started looking, it seemed to be that most people go for something that is similar to what you would get from a standard 20".
I guess at the end of the day it's personal prefernce.
Im sure i have 42-18 on my GT 24"
