Featherlite extra safe and electronically tested
« on: July 02, 2015, 09:54 PM »
Last week a new catalogue from one of my suppliers dropped on my mat and a quick look through set my mind thinking about adapting something they produced. A few emails later and a couple of prototypes were on the way.
They arrived yesterday and fit bob on. They hold the forks well and are a snug fit in the head tube, perfect for displaying show/rare/nos frame and forks.

What do you reckon?

Sixteen thirty-two. What is that? A year?   No, it's your top score on Pole Position.

I know some don't like fitting headsets in nos or rare framesets Bert but it's nice to display the frame and fork set ( not that I have owt worth displaying  :LolLolLolLol: )

The rubber is firm enough to give real protection and keep the forks secure but still sort enough to mount/remove easily  :)

That's the only problem at the mo Bert, I would have to sell them on at about 11 quid a pair to make it worth getting a batch made, I would rather they were a fiver a pair or something like that so am asking round  :daumenhoch:

Gents I don't want to pish on your chips as that is a great solution...... but just Get yourself to b&q with 99p for a length of 1" pipe lagging. Usually sold in 1m lengths so good for 5 or 6 frame sets :coolsmiley:

No hammering, no mistakes :yahoo_silent:
Still limping......

Great idea Clint, Juan Mattos did a short run of this type of things a while back, I have one sort of fitted to my Haro Anniversary F&F but that's a real tight fit.  I'd certainly be interested in a couple of sets if you do make them  :daumenhoch:

It's not looking too probable at the moment mate, the usual British company attitudes to customer service are as evident as ever  ::)

I remember the CW ones and for the life of me I can't find a single image of one. I believe they lost the site info while attempting and update or something. I heard postage to the UK wasn't exactly cheap either  ???
