Dyeing the skyways wont make em whiter Graham, you'll need to bleach em bud. Industrial peroxide works but needs sunshine for best results. .
I find black rit the best black dye & normally whack 2 packs in & 1kg of salt fella. Never done zd's so don't know if they take well or not  :daumenhoch:

Cheers chubby  :daumenhoch: went and bought a plastic box there in B&Q,a little to small for the rim  :-\ but i got a polystyrene box big enough so am going to line it with my pool table cover incase the poly would suck the dye in.

To bleach the skyways pure bleach or watered, and how long for?......have you tried it before?

Graham if you are going the bleach route get the really cheap Tesco own brand bottles, I think they are 2 litres. Any thin stuff will do and don't forget to vasaline the hubs or the bleach will affect them.
I left mine in for 2 days then gave them a really good rinse and a good coating of wd40 while hanging on the washing line through the valve hole. Worked great :daumenhoch:
