Powder coating chrome?

(1/2) > >>

EDBANGER:
Can you powder coat chrome?  If not how much would it cost to have the chrome removed from a frame and forks??  Rough ball park figure?

CustardLips:
I believe you can powdercoat chrome but it needs to be in decent condition. If not stripping a f&f costs about £40 ish.  :daumenhoch:

pickle:
Powder over chrome looks awesome especially if you go for a candy colour  :daumenhoch:

As said though, the chrome needs to be okay and no flaking or pitting.

Retrodan72:
I've just had the chrome stripped on my '85 GT, it was flaking badly, and Dan advised me to do it and I'm so glad he did. See my build thread in Tech & Resto.  :daumenhoch:

Mat:
For some unknown reason I powdered an NOS reflex burner blue many moons ago.

It worked a treat  :daumenhoch:
