What is the definition of a 'show' bike?

There is no definitive answer to your question Flo. What is value? Monetary, sentimental...

I have possessions that are priceless yet have virtually zero value  :)

what MS /NS is for then i guess   ....... :popcorn: .......or just get some drop savers, seems too silly to me to not ride an os bike at all, i mean like griff said "built their bikes to be ridden" and ridden hard if it's a good bike anyway ... then send it to Animal or sawzall  ;D

Chris, just out of curiosity: do you have one bike that you wouldn't ride at all for such reasons?

I have lots of bikes that I'll never ride. I have NOS bikes in unopened boxes. However, the bike that means the most to me is one of my riders (DeCoster), I'm not sure if that answers your question...
