What is the definition of a 'show' bike?

Interesting question! I guess another consideration is the class of bike, by which I mean show class, particularly if you have classes other than era, such as survivor and custom classes. For me, when I think of "show bike" a bike with polished parts that is rarely ridden springs to mind, though I can still appreciate the time and effort, not to mention money that's gone into it. The same applies to cars and motorbikes, a case in point being a recent visit to a classic VW meet here in Japan. Of the shed-loads of cool Beetles and camper vans there, I spent more time looking at the less-blinged-out ones. It's all good though - horses for courses, and all that! :daumenhoch:

Every bike is "designed" for riding but not every bike is "built" to be ridden.

positively, and some bike to have as a rider (just had another look :D) ......makes me want to put my Scrambler back on wheels 8) ........would look awkward with savers on that rat, though :-X ...

Not talking about show ponies of course, just the original intentions of the people who created the things in the first place
