First, thanks for all the responses re my other son's first bike thread. He loved the hell out of it. Now, I was building this Skyway for my other son (just turned eleven) but he told me a few nights back that he wants 'genuinely old' so I get to keep it for myself. I was just about to throw some Skyways on it for him but now it's for me, I want spokes. Can't decide though: black hoops with stainless spokes, or chrome hoops with dark gray (like a slate anno). Or maybe chrome with stainless OR all black with silver nipples. Too many options.
Oh yah, the hubs be on some silver shit...

Black and stainless are always awesome but you have to put up with brake rub on the rear.

Chrome/polished alloy and black spokes are a lovely combo, especially with polished hubs.  I have that combo on my goose so if you want a piccy i can send you one to see what they look like  :daumenhoch:

What up pickle? The issues you mention have been my concerns also. Don't want brake rub making things look old, plus chrome/polished DO provide the best braking surface so I may be heading that way. Can you post that Goose image please? And yeah, the bike looks pretty neat, thanks.

here you go matey, love the black spokes with polished hubs and rims....really makes them stand out.
