Skinny rims = what brake caliper ?
CustardLips:
What caliper do I need for a skinny rim build ?
Thanks. :)

I asked the very same question to a few people when I started my WHEELS build and was told it was very much about trial and error and that i would have to get the bike pretty much built up before being able to measure and try a few combinations. It seems to vary a lot and depends on the brake bridge design (i'm assuming you're talking about rear brakes...?) and also how the rear wheel is located in the dropout once chained up. It's all pretty close so you might have to think outside of the box a little with your caliper choice. I am sure a few of the more seasoned RAD guys will be along shortly to give their suggestions (and i will be watching with interest too...)

You need to be looking at short reach calipers, used on racing bikes etc.
Something along the lines of a Dia-compe 450 (39-49mm reach) or 500 (43-57mm). There are loads of choice, as you can use Campagnolo, DC, Shimano, Suntour etc etc.
