Dia Compe cable clip size?

Nothing is bloody simple is it.......?  Can anyone confirm what size cable clips (the snazzy chrome ones with the little bolt, rather than using cable ties) that I need - 1" 1/8, or 1 1" 1/4?  I measured the top tube of my Phaze 1 and its measures just over 1" 1/8 - I'm guessing that its just down to powder thickness and that 1" 1/4 would flap around like a wizards sleeve?
