Drop Terry (Wildon) a PM John, he's the resident Hutch expert  :daumenhoch:

Gnarlyscoots:
First gen are more round on the bottom, 81-82

Second gen are more squared of, kind of boxy if you will. Late 82- late 84

Third gen look like second gen but have a thicker cross bar. late 84-86

Thanks Terry,  it was the years I wasn't sure about, so i'm way out with the bars then  :LolLolLolLol: don't want to change them (I love em)
Had a look on the museum and their are a lot of 81 bikes with gen 2's on them

A big reason for that bro is the cost of first gen's. When you do come across them, they are in generally poorer condition than most gen 2's and there are significantly more gen 2's about, thus allowing more people to buy them at a reasonable amount  :)
