early tange headsets

Hi Guys, Did tange make head set cups different sizes  to fit into the frames ?, I can't remember but the early beartrap I have may have come from Germany, will this make any difference or were they all the same sizes ? to fit a US  frame, I could understand if the headset was actually made in France but it is Japan made.
