Need some advice on keeping tyres good...

I bought some old tyres and i'm weary off them drying out and cracking... :(

I've taken them out of the garage (as its very warm in there) and put them in the attic...

I was wondering if putting some Auto Smart Trim Wizard would do the job, or is it preferable to keep the original powder on them...???

This is some on a bit of tyre - it does dry out pretty well to a 'natural' finish...

I used to use it on my car tyres...

will say that I ended up with Berts tyres & the tread is lifting away from the carcass on them now.
if thats anything to do with the chemicals or just due to age i've no idea  :crazy2:
so if they are old & expensive tyres I'd be a little wary of what you use bud  :chin:

I think it was the tyres to be honest, I've done more than a few pairs and they've all been fine...... So far.  I think Mario pushed the "NOS" description to the limit with the IRCs.  Shame, I always thought they were a cracking looking tyre!

I'm fairly confident that the autoglym stuff is safe on rubber.  The old fashioned way would be to use banana oil (I'm not making it up!) don't use Vaseline, or anything petroleum based as it will fook them up.  They'll look pretty for a while the disintegrate.......

The Autosmart Trim Wizard is silicone based...

They do do a non silicone dressing - called Highstyle...

Been waiting for ages on these tyres...

Don't want to fook them up...

But i do prefer the 'new look' ... rather than the 'powder look'... ???
