A'me unitrons coming soon :)

True. I've said this before. You have to balance out the old with the new depending how long you want to wait for the exact part and how much you want to spend on it.
I'm happy to mix old parts with new for my riders. I'll rather not trust 30 year old drive/ stem parts no matter how well they're made. But that's jus me.

If you want to ride your bike, I'd say these parts are essential.
I have repop uni hand grenades and tioga comp 3, both new and can be used for riding. As said before you couldn't use 30 year old tyres and grips as they would perish and ruin, and who would want to ruin expensive og stuff?
There is place for both, OG stuff for show bikes that are exact period correct. Repops for stuff you want to ride but still have the old school look. I see no problems with it myself.

where did this awful saying 'repop' come from? they're new reproduction parts.....repop makes them sound like fake copies (Landar) ???

We already have NOS (New Old Stock or new old school if your Matt swivel :D) so now maybe we could have NRP's !! (New Reproduction Parts)
Fook me i must be bored ::)

Nearly 4 years ago, I bought a set of NOS, still in the box A'me Dual's for around £60, and fitted them to my Goose.
While hammered in Blackpool, I ploughed into a lad on a stag do who was just as hammered, subsequently I fell off t'goose and tore the end of one if my grips. I was a bit gutted, to say the least, especially as someone had looked after them properly for nearly 30 years.
This is why I choose to add repop parts to my bikes, the purists may not like repop parts, or my bikes, but I give zero fooks about what anyone else thinks, and ride/enjoy/socialise with them - for me, what this hobby's all about.
