What can i do with this?

Ive just noticed the cup on the hub is sticking out,i went to start to polish this and said fook how this happened,will it go in or how do i take it out,have any of you guys had to do anything like this?

I'm guessing from the question, it can't be tapped back in?

Is it a Shimano ?? If it is I think some of their hub variations have them like that for the plastic cone shaped grease seal to clip on  :-\

Yeah its a shimano Steve,so there should be a wee cap for it then?hmmm not sure were that would be.

Again I'm guessing you have a rear hub there?
