Just saw thus thread on bmx museum. It's an old thread, but has just been bumped. One of the museum members went to visit Rainers bike shop in Karlsruhe, Germany and he took some photographs. Great stuff!

I know what you mean! You can't go in all guns blazing. The act of purchasing something is akin to a game of chess. You have to ask nicely and be VERY polite! I think if he gets the feeling you're a dealer/flipper, then you've got no chance of buying from him!  I've bought a few things from him, and have never had any problems. Items arrived quickly and were exactly as described. I would defo use Rainers again for those hard to find items.
