By Aug 87, I was out, aged 15. Spent 2 years prior to the Piranha on a Lewways catalogue bike (20" wheels, suspension on the front), I'd whipped the mudguards off, and added a Kashi Aero, Tech 3's and ODI Mushies.

I was only into BMX for 4 and a half years, about 2 years less than I've been into it now. I only jacked it in as I started hanging around the local ice rink in Deeside, and sold my bike to buy some CCM Rapide hockey skates (£60), spent every night at the rink virtually, for months.
