the toe in on soft pads needs to be quite big 3-4 mm , as the soft compound will compress under breaking , and eliminate the toe in gap.

JONBOY likin' this thread. I wondered if clear pads work on tuffs. I've got a colour skyway don't make pads for anymore. Might give it a wizz.
To set toe in easily two ways.
Put credit cards under each pad at the back and pull hard to set blocks on rim.
I've just seen someone wrapping rubber bands around instead.
Despite all this my quad rears fekkin squeeel like a peeeeg

The new skyway pads are quiet, it's not surprising though as they resemble two stick of chalk in appearance, stopping power and durability ;D
