Ba5h:
Hi guys I am wondering if or how you lot insure your bikes I have quite a collection now and they worth more than my contents insuracnce covers plus I have them in a lock up away from home any help would be great cheers  :daumenhoch:

Badbaldie:
this topic was covered once before so there is a thread someware... it can be a mine field .. insurers will insure you but its the underwriter that sets the conditions. i have made sure that all my bikes are insured as individual items . also i have spoke in depth with the insurance and explained that they are "vintage/collectable" and may not be easily replaced. so each bike has an agread value/price.  :daumenhoch:

Ba5h:
Thats what I feared. Who do you use?

Devilock:
You don't need to declare a value of each bike; the ones in your house can be included in your contents. Assess the value of those or the cover you require, add it to  the cover you need for your other items & amend your policy.
Axa offer 80k cover for around £20pm.

Ba5h:
I will give our house insurance company a call  :daumenhoch:
