I have known Dan for loads of years and I would take take the opportunity to say what awesome bikes he builds his way.
They are not top end builds but they are always brimming with awesomeness.
I am not saying his builds are cheap but he consistently shows that you do not need to spend thousands on a build to enjoy this hobby. Prices are high and if we can all learn something it is this back in the day we built our bikes the way we wanted not what others wanted and for that Dan I hale your logic and would like to say I am glad you build your bikes "Your way" may all Radsters build the bikes the wanted there way and enjoy the hobby.
I know I have always built my bikes My Way and have a few this year en route that will be different to the norm like BITD.

I agree I love Dan's builds aswell they are always something a little out of the ordinary with a little twist and a great selection of parts I hope I am following suit with mine aswell.

Great looking bikes can certainly still be built without spending a fortune, there are still some bargains out there.

For the record, I'm not dying or anything.  :2funny:

ANY/ALL builders should build their bikes, their way, whether it be their budget restrictions, love of a various brand or parts, OCD about era correctness, whatever, it simply doesn't matter whatsoever.

The generic theme MUST be BMX, and the smile that whatever you do with them, ride, show, fall off, as long as it makes you smile.
