Cleaning/refreshing white pads
dinglem:
Hi all,
I have a set of what I presume to be rare SCP Rippers pads, which I collected from Scott Beaumont; he used to race with them on his WHEELS Mini. I am building this as a semi-survivor so it isn't going to be minty-perfect.
The stem pad is white with a black logo - has anybody managed to clean up a white pad without ruining the lettering? What methods have people used please?
Cheers!
MartyC:
I have read about people using CIF and a toothbrush but never had to do it myself.

This is the stem pad I'm trying to tidy up.

I've put white pads in the washing machine. Turned the heat right down to 20 and a small amount of detergent. Worked fine for me and did not lift the print. I've given dirty ones a scrub before chucking in machine. :daumenhoch:

Might try hand washing it first as I've read a few posts about washing machine nightmares.... Plus the bar pad is half white, half blue so it might run :(
