Race bikes with only front brakes....

Im thinking of running my vitus with just a front brake but a quick look through the race section suggests this a bit of a taboo.  :LolLolLolLol:


Thoughts  ???

Riding at speed then a sudden need to stop will surely result the rider getting some serious air for all the wrong reasons.   :crazy2:

Rear brakes only for race bikes imo.  :daumenhoch:

 ;D That was my vision aswell but then riding motorbikes using the front brake is the norm (albeit with alot more weight)

I guess for old school dust tracks it was seen as a no no due to them causing the front to wipe out in corners?

on new tarmac tracks this might not be such an issue.

with motobikes you have the suspension which help to dampen the downward force?  front brakes are better for scrubbing off speed in a straight line but i'd not use mine in corners
