Bullseye 1st gen cranks help!!!

are they 2 piece cranks? if they are i would just use the flap wheel as suggested. if they are 3 piece, check the axle on the other side to see if it has a ridge also.

No, they are 2 piece John. I don't have anything like that kicking around but I do have a file that I will have a go with I think. I just don't want to get it over the 'ridge' and then it slops about on the axle. Even the slightest movement can be felt when peddling.

Axle in the freezer, heat the spider gently with a fan heater or hair dryer etc.
if it anodised don't get it too hot.
