Bmx parts that never hit the streets

Cook Bros Uni Clamp system 1981.
Very similar to the aheadset Cane Creek patent no US 5095770 A which surfaced in 1990-2 no wonder there's been quite a few wrangles about it over the years.

I know it was available but it didn't exactly catch on/hit the streets until much later, was it S&M that used it, suppose it depends on your definition of hitting the streets.
