Its a reproduction, it's not the original run.

I'm putting 80s bits on it as it's not a new design, unlike the skyway/haro etc frame sets which are retro rather than repro I figured it would be out of character to start slapping new bits on it

Apart from the fact that the frame was made by the same guy using the same materials on the same equipment there are some nice OG ingredients left over from the 80s. The fork steerer, BB & head tube are all about 30 years old so at least there's some old school DNA in there  :teef:

It's not going to fool anyone though, the dropouts say 2015 & I have absolutely no intention of ever selling it - hence getting my name stamped onto it  ;)

Ok I see what you're saying but... its made with the same tools in the same way, everything is the same.
99% of the reproduction stuff is manufactured in a different way, materials, tools, design (albeit small changes in most cases) which makes it different to the original.

What makes this different to the original?
I personally don't see these as reproduction just because the guy who builds them had a little holiday time where he didn't build any for a while.
Maybe I'm just being a bit sentimentally naive or unreasonable but for me its original.  ;)

2015 stamp don't mean anything, just means he had a lie in, a couple of sickies, a week or 2 in the sun... then went back to work. :daumenhoch:
