Bit of tyre advice needed.

I think Cheng Shin whitewalls are the best ones. The white area is larger than some other brands. They are now marketed/advertised and labelled as Raleigh tyres on the packaging. Search for raleigh shopper tyres or something like that and you'll find them. Roughy £20 a pair for 1.75's. The good news for non raleigh lovers is that although the tyres are advertised and packaged as Raleigh, the tyre itself is stamped only as Cheng Shin - no mention of Raleigh anywhere.
If i remember correctly, the two white/orange PK Ripper builds both had Cheng Shins. I have them on my T/A and they look great

You thought about a Sturmey archer hub brake Ash? From what little I know about this sort of thing you will get far more rolling resistance from an incorrect tyre and pressure than any well maintained hub, even a shitty low end one.

I do love a set of whitewalls .... Agree with Andy ... They look great and bitd we all loved them round my way ... Retrospect had OG ones a few years back on his site.

The thought had crossed my mind and need to look into that a little more. The only thing I was concerned about is that I'm probably going for wheel disc covers on the rear so need to check it would work.
