ACS freewheels, Tooth thickness

(1/1)

Gary72:
Didn't know until a few weeks ago that there are 2 types of ACS FAT freewheel.
1/8 and 3/16 doesn't sound like alot of difference.

The one on the left is 3/32 ACS CLAWS

nosepickben:
The middle one is what i'd call standard width. Left = old fashioned race type, uncommon. And the one on the right is a standard fatty from the late 90's.

Gnarlyscoots:
3/32 is a great size for racing. The chain is lighter, the chainring is lighter as it's thinner, and the freewheel is lighter.

They still use 3/32 size today on lots of different bikes. Sedis do the strongest 3/32 chain  :daumenhoch:
