Removing bearings from TNT hubs
(1/1)
CustardLips:
Need to get the bearing cups/cases out of these so i can get them re-anoed.
They seem to be set up like a bottom bracket... cups/cases are tapped in at either end with a spindle cover/spacer sat between the two. So the question is do i tap em out in the tradition bb cups way or is there another way ?
Has anyone done this before ?
Thanks. :)
rooski:
Not done these before, but I imagine its a tap em out like a US bb as you say ???
Twenty inches of freedom:
A blind bearing puller or a slide hammer with an expander on the end would be ideal but you need the tools, or apply some heat to aid tapping them out
nosepickben:
I did it the Bb way. Just prise the spacer out of line a little, I used a small Allen key, 3mm or so, then gently tap out with a screwdriver. I put new bearings in mine when I got them as the rears were goosed, very surprised to see that dinky spacer tube in there!
CustardLips:
The front doesn't have a spacer so they came out no problem. Got nothing to hand small enough to tap the rears out just yet but got it sussed now. :daumenhoch:
Nice one. :)
