It used to depend on the age of the build for me and what type of riding it was going to be used for of course :-\

Brakes either DC 890's on a race or MX900's on a freestyler, but always Tech 3's. On a modern rider I can't live without my Odyssey 1-finger Monolever.

Stems had to be a Suntour Power stem.

Bars GT Pro or Expert every time.

Grips Ami Round or Cams, or Mushrooms for riders.

Saddle had to be an MX, a Kashi or Viscount.

Pedals/cranks had to be MKS Graphite / Flights on a freestyler and a decent alloy with rat - traps on a race.

Tyres and wheels I would have to say Pro - class and Compe 3 on a race, 7X and Snakebellies on a freestyler.

So nothing exotic, just functional that feel right - basically explains why I have to parts I have on my only remaining old school bike I've kept  :coolsmiley:
