I could never get my head around the dropouts on the Condor. I understand they wanted to pay homage to the original and all that, but those bloody great big dropouts were/are a mistake in my opinion. If mine weren't an anniversary one I would have taken the grinder to them.
It now hangs on the wall next to the Ramp Room 95.
Dropouts aside, yeah I fancied a change - I like what's going on at Haro these days and their geometry suits me.

I think they are just two thoroughly lovely blokes, neither of which would I have classed as good friends. Just goes to show, this community of ours remains a strong one. I have always tried to give a little back where I can and support stuff when I can and these lads seemingly felt it would be nice to reciprocate.
I'm still bowled over by the whole thing to be honest.

I totally agree with you on the dropouts, that's why my anniversary frame also hangs on the wall! I did get hold of a 3rd hand one, built it for a relative to borrow & when I got it back the dropouts were completely mangled, I couldn't even get the back wheel out......that one did get a chop with the grinder.
TwoBobRob:
Yep. One of mine is tweaked and I could almost count the number of grinds I did on it.
I can't help thinking they'd sell more Condors in general if they had modern dropouts on them, there really is nothing else to criticise - it's an excellent frame.

Couldn't have happened to a nicer bloke :daumenhoch:
