ALLY HUB TUFF REBUILD....

(1/2) > >>

deeman:
I am rebuilding my front ally hubbed Tuff ....I was wondering how to get the old bearing cups out? I tried a screwdriver and a whack like a bb cup and it did not move but I didn't want to go too mad in case I damaged the hub. Am I tackling it right or is there another way of going about it? any help appreciated...

Pretty sure you just knock them out Damo. Just make sure you have the wheel hub well supported. I dont think its a job that can be done with any reall finesse

Thanks Clint, I will stop touching it up and fooking whack it then!  :daumenhoch:

You could carefully take a Dremel cutter to it if you get stuck but it should pop out ( with a big whack!)
make sure you work your way round so it comes out square  :daumenhoch:

the raised portion of the outside of the hub needs to be placed on something like suitably sized socket or a vice opened to the correct size so that when you knock the cup out you dont push the hub flange out as well
