Anniversary Diamondback

When I spoke to DB at Interbike they didn't even know who Kashimax was (perhaps since they are not really Diamond Back and just some giant company that owns brand names including DB). Left to them to do this without appropriate input, I can only imagine the components they'd use.

A very valid point, but I think, just like Dave Hall had input with Raleigh on the reissues, I would hope Sparky would be asked for his input n the project

There's a bit of a dilemma I see.
I'm not sure simply saying to Raleigh...here you go copy a HLT and SS frame/forks is the way to go.
Neither am I sure whether taking a current frame, add the components/name to create something that isn't.
Maybe the route could be a current frame, add the looptail and gussets and decent parts set using modern day repops/names where possible.
pickle:
Option 3 all the way Sparky :daumenhoch:

So is someone talking to them about this? As mentioned before, when I spoke to them at Interbike (a few years ago now), they seemed clueless. Looking at the parent company's website its clear that money is the only thing that interests them.

I am. It was something I raised in my recent visit to them because come 2017 it will be DB's 40th Anniversary. Although it's just an idea at the moment some of the suggestions and ideas discussed have been positive.
