HTF does the SR Spintech work?

I can't remember these badboys from bitd but IF I had a spintech, what should I have and how does it work?

It's reliant on a few small parts to work Nick. Unfortunately those often get lost  :(

Note the ball bearing at the end of the cable fixing bolt!

these often go missing as do the bolts, the upper adjusting bolt and the nylon sheath for the stem shaft  >:(
