But when the wheel is fitted the length of the spoke gives you enough lever to feel it. Taking the wheel off and trying to feel it through the axle will not work. Take the axle out, grease up the bearings and reset the lot. If you can't remember what goes where place the nuts/washers/cones in the order you took them off so that they go back on in the reverse order. As long as it spins ok you can tighten them up but you will not feel any play until the wheel is in the fork and you have got your leverage back.

Thanks Nick :daumenhoch: that hepled
I can manage that. Is there any reccomended time interval on serviceing the hubs that should stick to?

depends if you ride them and whether it's dusty

Yes I will ride them regularly but only on the streets and parking areas. I will not ride bmx tracks.
When I put it all together after serviceing both wheels, what about the two spacers at one side, but none at the other (rear). I might be mistaken, but the rear wheel seems to be of center If I leave it that way.

Put one of the washers on the other side, should even it out :daumenhoch:

Thanks to you also :daumenhoch: I will measure it before and afterwards, that should tell it's position. ;)
