OG Paint clean up....

McQUEEN:
Picked up this RL20 Prostyler f&f and was going to have it as wall art ( :wtf: says the wife, but more eloquently) hanging over my completed Prostyler. A before and after thing, or after and before depending on the way you view it. But now I'm going to build it up as a rider. The frames totally straight, og decals and a wonderful original shop sticker as well. The frame just some heavy scraps and scratches and rust fighting away at them / the metal below. Any ideas on the best way to clean it up, i.e. get ride of some of the grime and take the rust back?

Citric acid bath followed by a light T cut is my usual route  :daumenhoch:

Wet sand it with 3000 grit paper, if that's not abrasive enough to remove what you want then use use 1500 on bad bits....this should be more than adequate, then T cut...bit of wax afterwards    :coolsmiley: can't wait to see this...you know I LOVE RL 20's  :daumenhoch:

Will the decals survive the Citric acid bath?
