Mongoose Californian - Brake Caliper Size ?

Anybody know original caliper size ? I'm guessing 890's ?

I'm building one up as a rider for my lad with either 7X or possibly Tuffs , so will need to find some suitable brakes.

I've a couple of DC 1000 spare - would these be ok or am I looking for something smaller?

On my MK 2 I had Lee Chi Pro Class MX900 Rear and MX1000 Front. On another I used Dia Compe MX1000 Front and Rear.
Or 890s and 1020s should be fine too.  :daumenhoch:
