Very nice Andy

Good move I think with the pedals, they look spot on  :daumenhoch:

I just love these threads where absolutely no short cuts are taken, majestic builds.... like yours here    ...it's not just the time warp, how on earth can that all really be perfectly original and correct? (: hours hours hours :2gunsfiring_v1:), it's also the resulting bike that simply makes you want to grab and ride the shit out of it      Congrats, Andy, fookin killer :daumenhoch:

Nice job Andy.   :daumenhoch:

Good decisions on the pedals and grips. Personally, I think the hubs should be swapped out for something a little more befitting - although aesthetically they're spot on.

That Bullseye power disc was sold by Lee on my behalf, its nice to have something that was once mine on your builds  :)

FYI, the hard anodising was OG and as you found out, notoriously difficult to remove!

It was great to see this in the flesh yesterday mate... Stunning build ... Great choice to swap those parts out ... I never thought the pink pedals we're going to work on this one as cool as they turned out.
Wait till you see it at MK in the flesh lads ... :4_17_5:...
It really gleams in the sunshine  :daumenhoch:

Man, that is a nice one. I think pink doesn't really go with any other colour than white on build, so the polished works well. Agree with the main, the silver pedals (also go manufacturer correct) are a better call than the pink and the colour looks great. The bike almost 'stands' / has a lightness like a race bike. I'd be tempted to just pull the front brake cable through the potts a little more so that there's more bending radius at the bottom, makes the braking smoother. Did you pass on the recessed front brake bolt? Defo one of my favourite builds recently. And love the st's - Ive got sets of later pairs, can't get these green/blue ones!  fistblump

Sadly the recessed bolt wouldn't fit as the brake hole in the forks was too narrow. I didn't fancy drilling it to make it wider

Wow, that's turned out amazing, you must be very proud. As Adam said, square chain stay ones are so so cool.

If I had to mention anything, it would just be that I'm not sure the grips and tyres work  :LolLolLolLol:. If you want I could take them off your hands  ;)

OK, sorry for that one, it's perfect  :smitten:

A few additions that I forgot to add to my final update..
Here's an ad from May 1985

and here's a close up..

As far as I know, the standard colour options for the freestyler were chrome or white, but other colours were available on request. I've seen one other pink freestyler, and also a purple one (although these were both the 1984 model, not the '85)
