26 inch cruisers?

(1/2) > >>

Having a read of Kalex's thread on his 26inch KOS cruiser got me thinking.

There are plenty of 24inch cruisers around, but how many companies made a 26?

1980 to 1985 era  :daumenhoch:

Think the Americans are more in to cruiser's tbh as hardly any get posted here.

Their so good to ride for an adult, I'm 6'1" and 16st so a 20" bmx is a squash for me.

Check this thread out as there's loads out there

I'll have a read of that when I've got a few hours spare  :daumenhoch:

My only bike at the mo is a 26" OM flyer. It's great for riding (cruising) and speed but too cumbersome to do any tricks on, I find it difficult to even get the front wheel off the floor for any length of time. I'm a bit taller than Spen though at 5'9".

Hopefully one day I'll be a bit more flush with cash again and can start collecting/building. That Cyclecraft 24 is on my list. In fact it was the bike I used to drool over as a kid, I think mainly for the mad spray finishes and the fantastic logo.

Oh and the Fireman's Texas Cruzer (Terrible name) started in the late 90s I think so not your era but it is a fantastic frameset well built. Looptails, 4130 and good welds. They come up occasionally. Great 80s look with new school benefits.
