Reverse steering BMX

dinglem:
Is anybody friends with/in contact with Darren Wilson as mentioned above please? I have Fb messaged him but as we aren't friends on there I think it might have gone to his 'Other Messages' folder as it has been a few days and he hasn't viewed the message.

Retrodan72:
Just take the piss out of one of his eBay listings on here, and he'll show up, that's what happened last time.  :LolLolLolLol:

dinglem:
Well you can't beat the Old School BMX scene.

I've only been hunting for a couple of days and this afternoon I managed to secure this on loan free of charge for our charity event.

'The Backwards Burner Challenge'

Simon Doyle hooked me up with the owner and I spoke to him a little earlier.

Amazing.

So the next thing is to try to drag a few RADsters along to our event. Do any of you lads play rugby at all, or anybody fancy a run-out for us? I won't lie it was brutal last year but we all came off the pitch having loved it. My old 6th form captain was Colin Charvis, the ex-Wales captain, and he has agreed to join our team this year. Should help a bit.....

There will be loads of other stuff going on to help raise funds on the day - bit of a kids fun day really which the lovely wife is arranging. I'm playing around putting a poster together at the minute and here it is as it currently stands.

LMK if any of you fancy popping along or playing. I'll probably start up a match-specific thread a little later on.

dinglem:
Well our second charity rugby match went really well at the weekend - loads raised, the reverse steering BMX proved very popular (and difficult) indeed, and Colin Charvis did indeed turn up and play for us against Lichfield RFC. The day was a huge success and we raised a little under 2000pounds for our CRY charity, with the icing on the cake being that our fully funded heart screening event is now 100% booked out in February.

On a personal level however, things didn't go quite to plan. Whilst defending on our own try line i managed to prevent the opposition touching down in the corner, only to end up like this 30minutes later:-

I dislocated my left shoulder in the tackle.... 2 hours of manipulation and brute force (plus morphine and gas & air) later it eventually popped back in. Not recommended  :-\

BMX1973:

Great event you are arranging there.  :daumenhoch:

On another note that injury looks painful.
