You're much more practical than me Andy..  :4_17_5: I just like adding extra bits on my builds ... But only if they look good and are era correct ...
I knew this would get people's opinions going!

Is there anybody who likes it? ...

rooski:
Running a stem that high is dangerous, there's hardly any of the quill in the fork!

The quill of the stem helps to stiffen the fork as well, s&m made a longer wedge, to help strengthen the fork.

If you want a high rise use an ESP , the quill is about 1" longer than average.

Or just fit 10" rise GT bars.

I love Tange locknuts, got them on all my bikes, and every bike I've built, I also like Flex Fighters, but only the 1" ones, although I've never fitted one. I do think that, that set up that you've shown is a bit too much IMO.

factory pilot:
Yeah it's got to be too much .. Agreed ... I was just trying to sneak a Tange locknut on there as well as like you Dan I love 'em!
Was just checking if it was era correct or if s few people actually ran them back in the day  :daumenhoch:

So what about this set up ?
