The end of an era ..Retrodan72 and Rad.. A sad sad day.

During a FB for sale thread I asked Dan if he'd finally lost the love and If he'd be attending his own ride "Radchester" in a few weeks.
I was totally shocked and gutted to hear a negative reply to both these questions.
Dan has been the heartbeat of rad for as long as I can remember.
For me Dan has often been the glue that has held this thing together.
In the quiet times he got people talking and spread the appeal of the forum beyond BMX to talk about all topics from the 80s, birds, clobber, cars and finally his swatches.
His brilliant builds were always successfully using repop parts to get that OS Feel on a fraction of the budget.
I and many others loved all his builds!
I had the pleasure of hanging out with him at MK this year .
He was a constant source of humour and banter on the rides.
I for one will sadly miss him being around both on here and the rides.
Remember Danos we'll still be here if you change your mind...
In the meantime Rad has a massive hole to fill in your absence fella fistblump :'(

Oh no that's a shame. I really like Dan and he has made me feel very welcome on here and at the rides from my first one at Chester through to the last MK. He's a top bloke and he'll be missed.

About a month ago, I thought where's Dan got to. Actually I thought he's just busy and will be back soon. Now reading this is really sad. I got to know him (unfortunately not in person) as a top radster, one of the most generous and funnest guys ever. At least we have a lot of stickies he left for us, and espacially his guides through the site for newbies.
I hope he will change his mind, nevertheless I wish him and his family all the best for the future! ...and also say thank you Dan for all your help and all the fun moments! :daumenhoch:

Gonna miss him, we have both got a similar sense of humour, and love of old school 80's stuff.
Don't know why he's lost the love, suppose people take stock at this time of year and decide to do different things.
Pretty sure he will pop up now and again, hopefully anyway....:(
