Tioga CD chain rings.

Does anyone know when Tioga CD chain rings came out?
I am guessing both the type requiring a spider and the types not requiring a spider were around the same time.
Clearly after 1982, when CD debuted. The earliest frame and fork set I have found with one fitted is 1985 but the most common bikes using them seem to be 86/87. However these are all minty restorations.
Just looking at options for a Tioga Rhino Charge project I have on the go.
