Skyway experts, can you explain the hubs to me?

Hi,
I am a little confused about the changes to Tuff 2 hubs over the years.
I know they went from steel to alloy and the to all nylon in about '84ish?
But, I have a fairly new set (black) with one type of all nylon hub, the front and rear ones are different?
I also have a white set on the brand new 35th anniversary aero pro burner! Sorry?! which has an alloy centre?
What's that all about then?
