Vinegar bath

I have seen posts over on the museum about vinegar staining or browning the chrome.

GT Two:
I have read conflicting stuff, water/vinegar mix and other saying just vinegar.

Can anyone confirm?

Neither

Either use citric or oxalic acid - can get both from eBay no probs

+1 on citric acid. I use it quite a bit, it is even fun watching it fizz and do its stuff (or is that just me!).
