Blue Max - original specification?

(1/3) > >>

anthony:
Hi all,

Last night I picked up a 1984 Blue Max and it's in great condition for its' age.

As far as I am aware, it has the original handlebars and original SR stem. It also has Pro Class brake calipers and cables, with Araya wheels so the whole thing looks nice in my eyes. Once I have cleaned it up I'll post photos.

However, I'm looking for a spec sheet for these to try to make it as original as possible (except for those ghastly motomag style wheels, IF they were standard equipment, bleugh).

Does anyone have a standard spec for this model? Or were just standard Mongoose parts used?

Thanks

Anthony

Pretty sure the earlier gusset models came with Motomags and the 84's came with spokes. There's probaly a few spec builds in this little lot.  :daumenhoch:

I've looked through the '84s and I can't see any all-original spec builds funnily enough. I'll have to go through them again and make a list of the components  :(

Thanks for your help CL  :daumenhoch:

Were blue max just offered as a frame and fork package and the original owner or shop built them with parts they wanted.
